Stagger provides a second set of editing tools to manipulate media once it's been added to the canvas. The object tools are available when the following are selected:

There are two sets of object tools depending on what type of object you have selected:

Video/text box, shape selected
left to right - move back, move forward, hyperlink, lock, delete, group/ungroup

Video/text box, shape selected left to right - move back, move forward, hyperlink, lock, delete, group/ungroup

Image selected
left to right - move back, move forward, mask, hyperlink, lock, delete, group/ungroup

Image selected left to right - move back, move forward, mask, hyperlink, lock, delete, group/ungroup

Move Back

When you add an object to the canvas, it is assigned a z-index value starting with 0. When another object gets added to the canvas, it's z-index value is set to 10 and so on.

If you have 10 objects on the canvas, and you want to move object 10 behind everything else, you'll hit the "move back button" 10 times.

To move an object behind other objects, do the following:

  1. Select the object you want to move

  2. Click the "move back" icon as many times as you need to get it behind the elements you want.
